Perins Rugby Success

Perins School U16 Rugby SquadRugby has always been big at Perins and the 2013/14 season has shown what five years of immense commitment can achieve.  As winners of the Hampshire Under15 Sevens tournament in 2012/13, the Perins Under16 Rugby Squad represented Hampshire’s at the 2014 All England Schools 7s, hosted at London Irish Rugby Club in March.

The event included 20 of the country’s strongest and most historic rugby schools such as Millfield, Whitgift, Warwick and Bryanston. The Perins boys won their ‘pool’ which included victory over strong title contenders St Joseph’s, Ipswich.  They then defeated the hugely successful London Oratory School 24-5 in the quarter finals before succumbing to overall winners, Bishop Heber High School in the semi-finals.

This remarkable success is attributed to the hard work of the Perins PE team and the dedication of the students creating inspiration for all future Perins sports teams.

Congratulations to you all!
